Venturist is a service offered by Venturist Solutions Ltd ("Venturist", "we", "us" or "our"). We help businesses take AI-built and partly developed products towards release through product completion, design, engineering, testing, security, deployment and launch support.

2. Scope of this policy
This policy applies when you visit venturists.co.uk, submit an enquiry, communicate with us, attend a meeting, receive a proposal or become a client, supplier or business contact. Client projects may also be subject to a separate contract, statement of work and data processing agreement.
3. Personal information we collect
- Contact and business details, such as your name, work email address, telephone number, company, role and website.
- Enquiry and project details, including what you have built, project stage, technology stack, objectives, budget range, timescales, messages and files you choose to provide.
- Client and commercial information, such as proposals, contracts, invoices, payment status, meeting notes and records of our work together.
- Technical and security information, such as IP address, browser and device information, timestamps, server logs, referral source, cookie choices and reCAPTCHA risk signals.
- Analytics information, such as page views, approximate location, device and browser information and interactions with the website, where you consent to Google Analytics.
- Project information processed while delivering services, which may include code repositories, user accounts, test data, product logs or access records where relevant to the agreed work.
Please do not send live credentials, payment-card information, special category data, criminal-offence data or unnecessary personal information through the website form. Project credentials should be shared only through an agreed secure method.

5. Website technologies
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website. It may collect pseudonymous identifiers, session statistics, approximate location and browser or device information. Google Analytics is configured not to place analytics cookies until you consent through the cookie banner.
Google reCAPTCHA
Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to help detect spam, fraud and automated abuse. reCAPTCHA analyses technical and behavioural signals and sets the necessary _GRECAPTCHA cookie when it runs. Its operation is subject to Google’s privacy information and terms.

6. AI tools and project data
Our work may involve AI-assisted development tools, code assistants, model providers and automated testing services. We use client project information only as reasonably needed to provide the agreed services and in line with the applicable proposal, statement of work or data processing terms.
We will not knowingly use a client’s confidential project content to train a public AI model unless the client has expressly agreed. Clients are responsible for ensuring they have the right to provide all datasets, prompts, content, code and personal information supplied to us.
7. Who we share information with
We may share personal information where reasonably necessary with:
- website hosting, cloud, security, email, CRM, project-management, source-control, payment and professional-service providers;
- Google, for Google Analytics and reCAPTCHA;
- CookieYes, for consent management and consent records;
- AI and development-platform providers used for an agreed client project;
- professional advisers, insurers, auditors and potential purchasers or investors under appropriate confidentiality arrangements;
- courts, regulators, law enforcement and public authorities where required or permitted by law; and
- other parties you ask us to work with or authorise us to contact.
We do not sell personal information. We require service providers to protect information and use it only for authorised purposes.
8. International transfers
Some suppliers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we rely on UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum to approved standard contractual clauses or another lawful transfer safeguard. Details of relevant safeguards are available on request, subject to confidentiality restrictions.
9. Retention
- Unsuccessful enquiries are normally retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact.
- Client, contract, invoice and accounting records are normally retained for up to seven years after the relationship ends.
- Project materials are retained according to the applicable contract, security requirements and backup cycle.
- Security logs are normally retained for up to 12 months unless needed for an investigation or legal claim.
- Cookie choices are normally remembered for one year. Analytics cookie durations are listed in the Cookie Policy.
We may retain information for longer where required for legal obligations, disputes, fraud prevention or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
10. Security
We use proportionate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, secure collaboration tools, credential-management practices, backups, supplier checks and staff awareness. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
11. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law gives you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your personal information; object to certain uses; receive portable information; and withdraw consent. These rights are subject to legal limits and exemptions. Contact us to exercise a right. We may need to verify your identity.
12. Data protection complaints
You can make a data protection complaint electronically by emailing support@venturistsolutions.com, or by writing to our registered office. Please identify the issue, the information involved and the outcome you are seeking.
We will acknowledge a data protection complaint within 30 days, take appropriate steps to investigate it and communicate the outcome without undue delay. We may ask for information reasonably needed to understand or verify the complaint.

13. Marketing
We may send relevant business communications where you have consented or where permitted by law and our legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights. You can opt out at any time by using the unsubscribe link or contacting us. We may still send essential service or contractual messages.
14. Automated decision-making and children
We do not use website visitor information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Our website and services are intended for business users and are not directed at children.
